Turbocharger Knowledge:
Supercharger classification
To drive fast, you must have a strong motivation. At present, the power system of a car can be roughly divided into two categories: a natural intake system and a pressurized intake system. In the European sports car, in addition to BMW Motors still insists on the use of natural intake engines, other car companies have adopted a supercharged system in order to improve the vehicle's power performance, such as: Mercedes-Benz sports car using supercharged system, Sui Bao car is The originator of turbocharged mountains. In recent years, Japanese cars have also begun to use turbocharging technology. The natural air intake system does not have any form of supercharger installed, but uses the negative pressure generated by the downward pressure of the piston to suck in the mixture. Although the natural air intake system can obtain a large horsepower output through the variable valve timing system, the power increase is limited. In order to effectively increase the output of the engine, the use of a pressurized system is the most effective way.
The most common engine boost systems are both supercharged and exhaust turbocharged.
